Work History

For the past 25+ years, I lived and worked in Philadelphia in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My graduate training is extensive in the fields of counseling, analysis, psychology and coaching. Initially, I worked with individuals suffering from severe mental illness. I continued to work with individuals but over time I began to specialize in relationships, doing couples and pre-marital counseling. My work has always focused on trust, communication and resolving obstacles to growth. I love working with people and I derive great satisfaction from watching people change for the better. I place a premium on confidentiality and creating a safe environment for my clients.

I was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, received my bachelor’s degree, then moved to Philadelphia to I pursue my graduate training. For the next 30 years my husband and I enjoyed a quiet suburban life with our three children and two golden retrievers. After my husband retired, I closed my practice and we moved to South Carolina and built a house in Beaufort on Lady’s Island. Our kids are now young adults, each with their own interests and careers. We both love the beauty of Beaufort and the friendly people we’ve met here. I look forward to being of service to the community.
